from where?
As a member displaying ads on your own web pages you have
the opportunity to decide from where the ad should slide in.
You can specify all directions. Imagine that each edge have
3 places where the ad can slide-in from (at the top you have
left, center and right) then you have 16 slide-in points to
choose from. This is to give you full control in your overall
page design. This combined with the different ad sizes makes
SlideInExchange the ultimate ad exchange on the net.

Banners
Many options - one exchange. This is our goal and we therefore
support exchange of static banner ads as well. Not only can
you use the exchange for static banners you can also mix the
formats and methods. Display 468x60 static banners on your
site but show your own ad as a 720x300 banner.
Pop-up
or Pop-unders
You also have the possibility to use pop-unders or pop-ups
on your site. Actually you can display exactly what is best
for your site - Slide-In, Static Banner, Pop-Up or Pop-Under.

How
to install the ad code
The ad code it self consist of two pieces. One statement has
to be installed in the <body> tag and another anywhere
within the start <body> tag and the end </body>

A. No. Our Exchange is 100% FREE!
Q. Can I have any Pop-up or Pop-under
windows on my site?
A. Yes. But we only accept that you have our ads on the page
you have enrolled with our exchange. We do not allow that
your ad link to pages with excessive pop-ups or pop-unders.
Q. Can you guarantee a high CTR (Click
Through Rate) from Slide-In Ads?
A. No. We have tested thousands of slide-in ads and have found
that the response rate is higher than banners and pop-unders.
You have full access in your personal account area to stats
with both impressions and click through from your ad and website.
We display and inform about the most efficient ads in the
member account area (you must be logged in) so that you can
compare and make corrections to your ad should the CTR be
below average.
Q. Can I use Slide-In Ads on my Banner
Farm Page / Ad Stack Page?
A. No. Bannerfarm or Adstack pages are not allowed due to
the nature of the pages. An Bannerfarm or Adstack is more
than one banner stacked on top of another down a web page.
These pages are most of the time created so that the site
owner can earn as many point from different exchange memberships
as possible without any concern for the advertiser. This setup
has a clear record of below average CTR and as SlideInExchange
provides quality-advertising space this is not acceptable
within the network. SlideInExchange is the only exchange that
is able to detect and avoid Banner Farm pages hence provides
advertisers with quality advertising space.
Q. Can I send visitors from
traffic suppliers to the page with slide-in ads?
A. Yes. But we monitor CTR (Click Through Rate) on all publisher
websites. In the second week of May 2003 we generated an average
CTR at 4.09%. If a publisher site receive click through that
is 50% below average then we will work with the publisher
to find out why the traffic received to his/her website is
different from the average. In most cases we can easily find
the reason and corrections can be made. If a publisher site
continues to have below average CTR then the account may be
terminated. This may seem strict but the procedure will guarantee
that SlideInExchange.com does not become a vehicle for ineffective
traffic.
Q. How can you offer this for FREE?
A. Your account operates on a 2:1 ratio. For every two unique
ads (other members ads) you show we show your ad one time
on another members web sites. The last one is sold to advertisers.
You can upgrade your account to either 1:1 ratio for just
$9.95 per month or 3:2 ratio for just $4.95 per month (login
to your personal account area for full details).
Q. Can I purchase more exposure?
A. Yes. If you are interested in purchasing exposure for your
ad, then you can do so within your account (you must be logged
in).
Q. Are there any restriction?
A. Yes. We do NOT allow Adult websites or gambling websites.
We do NOT allow hacking or warez websites. We do not allow
web sites with poorly designed ads to become members. This
exchange is for websites with an outstanding web design and
ad design. We preserve the rights to reject any member application
that we do not feel will fit in to the exchange. For full

Q. My website is not in English can
I join?
A. No. Right now we only accept ads in English that link to
English websites.
Q. Can I install the Exchange Code
on other pages?
A. Yes. You can install the exchange code onto as many pages
as you like the only requirement is that you must register
every page to receive credits for ad displays and the pages
must be clearly accessible from the page your ad link to (maximum
2 levels up or down).
This mean that we shall be able to go to the ad with maximum
2 click's from the page your own ad link to. The registration
of your pages containing the ad is done in your personal account
area. Your account will be paused when you add or change pages
until our editorial staff has reviewed your new pages.
Q. How does the Slide-in part of the
Exchange work?
A. When a visitor accesses a page on your website that has
our Exchange code imbedded within the html (invisible to the
visitor), then an ad will slide in from the edge of the screen.
After a few seconds the ad will slide out again. The visitors
have the possibility to pull in the ad again by clicking on
the small handle that is still visible under the ad.
Q. Do you offer different ratios?
A. Yes. Your free account comes with a 2:1 advertisement ratio.
You can upgrade your account to either 1:1 ratio for just
$9.95 per month or 3:2 ratio for just $4.95 per month. We
also offer the possibility to buy more exposures. If you choose
to display one ad type while you own ad is another type then
a ratio will be applied. You can see full details in your
account area. If you have a high traffic site then you can
signup as an Publisher and earn money from every ad you display
on your site.
Q. How long does it take to get started?
A. The signup process is FREE, fast, easy and it takes less
than a few minutes to get started. Join (fill out the signup
form), upload your ad and install the code on your website,
and you're done.
Q. What do I need to do to start earning
traffic?
A. Go to the signup page and submit the web form. Immediately
after joining you can login to your account and get your Exchange
code. Insert this code into your website, and you're done;
that's all you need to do! You need to have a well designed
ad in either .jpeg or .gif format in one of the following
sizes;

Q. Can I advertise using one ad size
and publish using another?
A. Yes, you can mix in any possible combination. Display skyscrapers
on your own site (earn 1.3 point) and use your own standard
banner to advertise for your own site (cost 0.65 points).
The ratio system in place give more points to skyscraper ads
while it cost less to show standard banner ads. This way it
is almost as a free 1:1 exchange.
Q. How much does it cost to participate
in the Referral Program?
A. The Referral Program is FREE. Your Exchange membership
is all you need in order to enjoy the opportunities of the
referral program.
Q. Can I become a publisher and earn
ca$h from displaying ads?
A. To become a publisher you must have a website that have
the following characteristic; Websites must have their own
domain name that resolve to its own IP#. Redirected
domain names cannot be used. www.something.freehost.com cannot
be used and www.freehost.com/mydomain cannot be used either.
We accept publishers with .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz and
.us domains only. Publisher sites must use their index or
default page as a publisher page. Other pages within the site
can be used as well but there must be links from the main
page. The website must have content that
is worthwhile for surfers in general. It must be 100% in English
and cannot have adult or gambling related content (see terms
for more information).
Further publishers site must rank between the top 500,000
website on a 3 months average on Alexa.com (see http://www.alaxa.com
for more information). Approved publishers that receive a
higher than a 500,000 three months average will be paused
until the rank reach between 0 and 500,000 again.
Q. What are the benefits of
the Exchange Referral Program?
A. The Exchange Referral Program gives you an incredible opportunity
to earn an UNLIMITED amount of additional exposure to your
web site through the people you refer. We have even made this
run automatically. When you display ads on your site and people
click the join button then they will automatically signup
in your downline and you will now start to earn points when
they display slide-in ads on their site.
When you refer another webmaster to our
Exchange, you get 100 points (250 points if you have a Gold
account) when he/she is approved and 0.1 point for each Exchange
exposure that webmaster produces from their website. When
THAT webmaster refers another webmaster, you also earn traffic
from their Exchange exposures too, up to 3 levels deep!
You can have an unlimited amount of webmasters
in each level. IMAGINE how much exposure you could earn just
referring a few webmasters!

We do not accept any intrusive events on the page that we
send ads to, such as excessive pop-ups, certain types of sound,
or anything that may interrupt the surfer's browsing experience.
I agree not to place my site under an
inappropriate category.
I agree not to post to the SlideInExchange.com
network any URLs that contain any of the following: adult
or pornographic materials, excessive profanity, illegal content
of any sort (according to United States law - including but
not limited to "warez", child pornography, content
showing people how to conduct illegal activities such as hacking,
passwords or serials for commercial products), defamatory
content of any kind, seditious writings, libel, hate propaganda,
racist or otherwise discriminatory content, Nazi memorabilia,
registered or unregistered securities, tools or instructions
for "spamming" of any kind, firearms, explosives,
ammunition, liquor, tobacco products, gambling, illegal gambling
(including gambling in connection with sporting events), food
that is not packaged or does not comply with all applicable
laws for sale to consumers by commercial merchants, illicit

way shape or form. I understand that all communications with
